Have you and your significant other considered taking British Virgin Island Honeymoon Vacations? In regards to British Virgin Islands honeymoon destinations and locations, there is so much to do and see here. One of the most well known attractions on the islands is The Baths. The Baths are giant boulders, which were brought to the surface by volcanic eruptions. Their scattered formations have transformed the area into a beautiful grotto and tranquil pools that are enjoyed by tourists and natives alike. So many travel to the islands just to see this fascinating sight.
Other points of interest for a honeymooning couple to visit in the islands include Smuggler’s Cove, Callwood Distillery, and Loblolly Bay. Each of these activities can be enjoyed on a honeymoon to the British Virgin Islands. For example, Smuggler’s Cove is known for being one of the most pristine and interesting beaches in the BVI. It is also one of the best spots in the world for watching endangered turtles lay eggs. Another point of interest, Callwood Distillery, is a historic rum distillery that is one of the last of its kind in the world.
In terms of British Virgin Islands honeymoon destinations and locations, a couple will have their pick of lodgings as well. Couples who would enjoy a more rustic base, from which to enjoy the island, might consider staying on the island of Jost Van Dyke. This small and secluded island only contains 200 year round inhabitants, and it is only accessible by ferry or boat. However, it boasts numerous rustic cottages and villas, and its remoteness makes it private and secluded, including the beaches, for honeymooning couples. If you and your honey desires quiet and intimacy time, then this location will definitely meet your expectations.
On the other hand, if a couple would like the more traditional British Virgin Islands honeymoon packages, then Elite Island Resorts and Peter Island Resort must remain on a couple’s list of considerations. From scuba diving to spa services, each resort offers honeymoon vacation packages that are unique and memorable. For example, if a honeymoon couple desires some type of adventure, the Peter Island Resort offers helicopter tours of the Caribbean to its guests. The BVI only contains 36 islands, only 16 of which are inhabited; however, your honeymoon in the British Virgin Islands will be unforgettable and definitely will be a honeymoon to remember for a lifetime.

You can go on a honeymoon, or you can go on a luxury honeymoon. You know, the ultimate romantic holiday where everything must be perfect and no expense is too great for you and your new spouse. There are a large variety of 5-star resorts all over the world but just a select few are considered the best luxury honeymoon destinations.
At the top of the list is Wadigi Private Island in Fiji. This five star all inclusive resort is just what the name suggests; your own private island. With three suites perched on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean this resort has a maximum capacity of six people, if you bring them with you. Otherwise you will find yourself in total privacy, free to walk the gorgeous beaches alone, just you and your spouse.
Wadigi also provides two personal chefs, a butler, maid, and your own boat captain for the entirety of your stay. And in addition to being waited on hand and foot you also have access to multitude of beach and water toys including kayaks, windsurfers, snorkeling equipment, wakeboards, waterskiing, and fishing. As it says on their website “Why book a hotel when you can book your own private island?”
Next on our list is another private island resort, known as Peter Island Resort & Spa in the British Virgin Islands. Only accessible via helicopter or boat this unique private island boasts only 52 rooms for a truly private honeymoon experience. The staff, which outnumbers the guests, is there to serve your every whim. For a more romantic experience consider booking one of the four beautiful villas.
Peter Island also offers gourmet meals prepared by European chefs served in open air restaurants and a complete wine room. There are also 5 private beaches with all the normal beach activities, snorkeling, sailboats, windsurfers, and sea kayaks. After a day relaxing and playing along the beaches a 10,000 square foot spa awaits to cater to your every need.
Third on the list is the Greek Island of Crete with its luxury hotels, villas, private pools, lush gardens and amazing Greek food make this idyllic island one of the worlds top luxury honeymoon destinations. You will find a little bit of everything here, including mountains, small villages, and resorts sitting astride some of the worlds most beautiful beaches. There are five luxury resort hotels that you should consider if you plan on visiting Crete. These are the Elounda Mare Hotel, Elounda; the Istron Bay Hotel, Istro; Palazzo Rimondi, Rethymo; and in Chania the Casa Delfino and the Casa Leone.
Our final choice takes us back to Fiji and the Navatu Stars Resort on the Yasawa Islands. It is an adult’s only resort with a luxurious boutique feel consisting of nine bungalows or bures and room for only twenty guests. What is more romantic then being on an exotic and secluded island with a staff that excels at giving each guest the kind of personalized service they are expecting on their honeymoon. The bures are spaced along the beach, giving each couple their own private retreat with king sized beds and island décor.
None of these choices is cheap, but when you are giving thought to the worlds best luxury honeymoon destinations then price is probably not an issue. So pack your bags, get your passports ready and prepare to take a honeymoon you and yours will never forget.

Deciding where to go on your honeymoon can seem like a monumental task when you start thinking about all the possibilities. There are literally thousands of destinations to choose from, some close to home, some halfway around the world. Your final decision will ultimately depend on a few considerations including your budget, what your interests are, and that list places you and your future spouse have always wanted to visit.
To help in making that decision a little easier and to maybe get those travel ideas flowing the following is a list of what are considered the best honeymoon destinations in the world.
1. Hawaii – Long considered one of the original honeymooners’s paradises it is hard to beat Hawaii for that post wedding vacation. There are plenty of things to do here, from hanging out on the beach to exploring its many tropical wonders, including breathtaking waterfalls and active volcanoes. There is also an active night life in the clubs and bars of the larger cities for the couple who like to have fun dancing the night away.
2. Polynesian Islands in the South Pacific – Tahiti, Fiji, and Bora Bora just to name a few. All these islands offer the tropical beauty of Hawaii in a more relaxed atmosphere. The locals are some of the friendliest people you will ever encounter and their culture will leave a lasting impression. Throw in miles of pristine beaches, tropical lagoons, and world class snorkeling and diving and this could well be the perfect honeymoon destination.
3. The Mediterranean Coast of Southern Europe – Stretching from ancient Greece to the Rock of Gibraltar there is a wealth of sights, culture, and beauty to behold along the shores of the Mediterranean. You can visit Italy, enjoying the renaissance beauty of Rome and the Vatican, or a romantic Gondola ride on the canals of Venice. Or visit the French Riviera and the vibrant nightlife and upscale shopping that it offers.
4. British Virgin Islands – The island of Anguilla to be specific. This little gem in the Caribbean is the perfect getaway for the newly wed couple who wants nothing more then to relax in peace and quiet. The majority of tourists visit other islands in the Caribbean leaving Anguilla to the lucky few who get to enjoy its breathtaking beaches.
5. Costa Rican Adventure – For the couple who is looking for more of an adventurous Costa Rica is considered one of the best destinations in the world. This small Central American nation offers not only world class beaches and scuba diving but also rain forest adventures that include kayaking, white water rafting, and mountain biking.
6. Niagara Falls – Not quite as exotic as the choices above Niagara Falls has a certain charm that caters to honeymooners that cannot be found anywhere else. Take a ride on the “Maid of the Mist” boat that will get you up close and personal with the falls. Check out the Guinness Book of World Records Museum or visit the House of Frankenstein. And don’t forget to visit New York City and enjoy all the sights and sounds that it has to offer.
7. Australia – It’s a continent, it’s a country, it’s known for kangaroos, wallabies, and rugged men with big knives. It is also full of exotic locations, big cities, and little bit of everything in between. For a honeymoon in a land that’s like a whole other world then Australia might well be the best choice out there.
Hopefully this list will give you some ideas as you start planning your honeymoon. Ultimately the best honeymoon destinations in the world are wherever you and your betrothed decide to go, because all that really matters is spending time alone with the one you’ve chosen to spend your life with.

A Romantic Honeymoon Destination On Tortola BVI
June 30, 2010 by
Don’t book your honeymoon before you check out the Sugar Mill Hotel on Tortola in the British Virgin Islands
Your top romantic honeymoon destination hotel could well be a small romantic British Virgin Island hotel, slightly off the beaten path, but rated number one in Tortola in the BVI. This is the best description for Sugar Mill, and it probably isn’t the place for everyone. That isn’t because of any peculiarities but rather because Sugar Mill would make an ideal romantic honeymoon destination as a small beachfront boutique hotel, in fact an all suite hotel as it has only a total of 23 rooms. It is a place to relax and unwind which makes it ideal as a honeymoon destination, and it is built around the restored ruins of a three hundred year old sugar mill and rum distillery. In other words it is probably not the best place to go for a vibrant all action family BVI vacation!!
Conde Naste magazine has thought well enough of Sugar Mill to place it in the top ten hotels in the Caribbean two years in a row, and although this was four or five years ago you will easily see why.
The white sand beach sits right next to the beautiful tropical gardens where the cluster of individual buildings are situated, and Sugar Mill lies near the western tip of Tortola, so will get great romantic sunsets.
If Sugar Mill is to be your romantic honeymoon destination then take the honeymoon package, and stay in one of the Pool Suites. They are elevated overlooking the round swimming pool in the middle of the grounds, and you will have a sitting room, a large balcony, a kitchenette, and a great outdoor shower. The addition of ceiling fans as well as airconditioning gives you cooling options as well as a real old fashioned colonial feel. The suite also has cable TV and a great selection of books, and not only the sunsets from the balcony but the views of Jost Van Dyke Island across the channel are worth sitting out for.
The Restaurant at the Sugar Mill Hotel, which is part of the original sugar mill, has a great reputation not only on Tortola but all over the Caribbean for its award winning cuisine, and on the beach which has an offshore reef which is good for snorkelling, there is a beach bar called Islands which serves lunch and drinks.
You will find not only the food at The Sugar Mill Great, but also the atmosphere, and a menu that changes every night, with a good selection of dishes, and a good wine list. The breakfasts are also outstanding, sitting in the morning overlooking the beach, with a cooling breeze is just so relaxing.
Another outstanding feature of the Sugar Mill are the hotel staff who without exception are extremely helpful, friendly, and just seem to want to make your stay as fantastic as it can possibly be. The standard of housekeeping is excellent, as you might expect from a boutique hotel that has quality and professionalism written all over it. In fact a better description of Sugar Mill could well be a good old fashioned Caribbean Inn because the whole ambience is so far removed from the modern big resort, without being anything other than very comfortable and luxurious compared to many other properties around the BVI.
