Cuban honeymoons provide plenty for newlyweds to see, do and take part in, including great beaches and interesting sight seeing opportunities. However, the island also offers less obvious and much more exotic thrills for those who want them. We count down the top five honeymoons in Cuba to whet your appetite and give couples a few ideas they might not have thought of for that truly memorable honeymoon…
5. Diving Honeymoons
Cuba and the Caribbean have some of the best diving in the world. The clear waters, amazing diversity of sea life and huge range of corals and rock outcrops to explore make it ideal for normal or scuba diving. Honeymoons around Cuba on scuba diving trips are incredible, as they let you experience the wonderful diversity and beauty of the ocean floor with the one you love.
4. Following in Castro’s footsteps
For history buffs and those who like walking holidays, why not spend your Cuban honeymoon following in the footsteps of Cuba’s most famous revolutionaries? You can follow the trail of Fidel Castro’s revolutionary guerrillas from the playa Las Coloradas, into central Cuba and beyond. Walking tours can be organised and you can get a real feel of the adventure and hardship of the freedom fighters on your way through the island’s interior. You can also visit the many monuments and statues to the fighters along the way and in your final stop in the capital of Havana.
3. Cigars, Coffee and Rum
Cuba is synonymous with cigars, coffee and rum, and any trip to the island should include trying some if not all of these to give you a real taste of the island itself. However, you can take it one step further and spend part or your entire honeymoon in Cuba touring the plantations, factories and distilleries of the island, sampling the best brands and the most luxurious hand made verities. Sitting with your loved one sipping the best the island has to offer, or indulging in that luxurious vice of cigar smoking together is enchanting while watching the sun set over the Caribbean.
2. Swimming with dolphins
Swimming with dolphins has routinely been chosen as one of the top experiences to have before you die, and when better to do it than when on your honeymoon? Cuba waters and the surrounding Caribbean are teaming with these friendly mammals, and tours, excursions and swims are organised to give you the best experiences possible while causing no harm or anxiety to the dolphins themselves. A magical moment to have together while on honeymoon in Cuba.
1. Salsa
The passionate island moves to its own unique rhythm, and you and your partner can get swept up on it on a salsa honeymoon in Cuba. A Honeymoon in Bermuda – Newly-weds Destinations
February 20, 2011 by
The newly weds can never be wrong by deciding on spending their honeymoon in Bermuda, an elegant and sophisticated island that is recognized globally for other commercial markets as well. Even as it is as small as twenty-one miles long and one wide, Bermuda is still the leading preference of many couples around the world.
There is a range of elements to appreciate in the island such as striking pink sandy beaches, clear waters, coral reefs, and colorful vegetation and so on with the summer dazzling sun and the blue skies complementing that further. In other words it is the couple that would fail to make the most out of their honeymoon days in Bermuda a place with some of the most classy hotels and restaurants too.
In addition the natives are just as lovely as their surroundings and they are good to their visitors hence the couples can easily share their joy and love with them.
Preparing a honeymoon in Bermuda
Enjoying a quiet time in Bermuda for the couples is a perfect idea that may be rather expensive but very rewarding in the end. Who would not dream of setting a foot on such a blissful place with their true love? When the budget is good do not even think twice before making this island a winner since from the wedding night to the last day in honeymoon the feeling would be sensational.
It is good for the couple to do this before their wedding so that by the time the ceremony is over they can just take off based on the mode of transport they opt for. Early planning guarantee that everything goes as expected because they would hate disappointments on the very first day.
Start by visiting the key websites that present content about Bermuda in order to have a clue of what to expect. The best thing is that they present images as well thus enabling everyone interested to read and view so that by the time they make a buying decision they are completely convinced.
Search for factors such as tourist attractions, cruises, hotels, shopping areas, health facilities, and others because this guides the process of making a financial plan. The couple could breakdown their honeymoon in Bermuda into steps based on the key destinations and how long they would like to stay before heading to the next one including Fairmont Southampton, Elbow Beach and others.
Of course the travel schedules are based on the available budget and the selected agent could clear any doubts. It is prudent to have all costs in one package not to have surprises later and as well it is wise to either choose to book Bermuda resorts for all newly weds or an exclusive place for two.
Perhaps being with everyone else from anywhere in the world is a good idea because that can be a great opportunity to make new friends and embrace the intrinsic beauty of this tiny island together. Remember to carry video cameras and such devices since after the honeymoon in Bermuda is over the couple may not make it back especially when kids and responsibilities sets in.

Why Are Tropical Honeymoon Destinations in the South Pacific So Very Popular Now?
August 12, 2010 by
As people in general become more stressed in a society that focuses so much on being financially successful, the option of opting out of it all becomes highly desirable. Just using the imagination of putting oneself on to an island with sunshine, sea breezes, tropical palms swinging in the gentle zephyrs aloft – all conjours up a scene so inviting and desirable that people are prepared to knuckle down to the demands of the system we live in and work hard to achieve things that otherwise would not be possible. So when one is getting married, a tropical honeymoon destination in the South Pacific is grabbed with both hands.
There are not many people who would not agree that this would represent a dream honeymoon, but due to the constraints of finance, it is not always possible to live the dream or to make it a reality. However there are many locations where it does not cost a fortune to have an amazing holiday – little chalets inland which are surrounded by lush tropical planting may not be the absolute beachfront location, but are often very close to the beach, and still provide a getaway which is what a honeymoon is all about. These often have very interesting aspects which make holidays in them very appealing as a tropical honeymoon destination in the South Pacific.
While there are many islands in the Pacific, most people tend to stick to the more well known ones such as Fiji, The Cook Islands, Samoa, Tonga – especially the outer islands in the northern group of Vava’u which have amazing beauty and are very unpopulated and unspoiled with clear waters of deep turquoise and where a vacation on either on a skippered or bareboat yacht is offered, not a sound to be heard when cruising under a sail into a sheltered anchorage. Truly a tropical honeymoon destination in the South Pacific that becomes amazingly appealing to those who are boat lovers and enjoy cruising.
Of course the islands do also provide a standard which is now becoming increasingly popular in latter years and that is 5 star accommodation. This is a market that is steadily growing and which people are more than happy to save up for so they can enjoy a special location for a special occasion. There are 5 star resorts in all of the main centres in the Pacific region. Increasingly popular are the self contained small boutique villa properties where a hotel standard of service is offered, but guests have the option of using not only the lagoon as their swimming spot, but also a private swimming pool in their own villa courtyard. This provides a real getaway situation for couples wanting to escape the masses when on holiday. What could provide a better option for a tropical honeymoon destination in the South Pacific paradises?

4. The Bahamas
With approximately seven hundred different islands varying in sizes The Bahamas make a particularly flexible honeymoon destination. The biggest island is Grand Bahama Island that has several all inclusive resorts or you can stay on one of many other islands including Nassau or Paradise Island. The neatest thing about the Bahamas is the fact it’s so straightforward to travel to from anywhere in the USA.
