Italy. The culture of no other country in the world embraces life with as much zest as the Italian culture. Italy is a country vibrant with emotion, celebration, and opportunities to dive into life at full speed. But it is also a country full of quiet museums, peaceful hillside vineyards, golden beaches, ancient ruins and hushed cathedrals. Italy, in other words, is a splendid place for a honeymoon.
Spending your honeymoon in Italy can find you enjoying the romance of a moonlit Venetian gondola ride, complete with serenade. Or it might find you hiking the expanses and drinking in the magnificent Dolomite views of the Alpe de Suisi, at 6500 feet in altitude Europe’s largest alpine meadow.
If your ideal honeymoon in Italy would be a combination of relaxing days at the beach, and a trip back in time, you won’t do better than to stay among the harbor villages and historic ruins of the Amalfi Coast. If your honeymoon budget does not allow an overnight stay in the area, you should at least experience a bus ride coast along the Amalfi Coast, where you will pass hotels and private villas clinging as if by magic to vertical hillsides above cliffs dropping some 500 feet to the tiny beaches below.
If you do not mind the idea of spending part of your honeymoon in Italy being spent among the crowds of one of the world’s great cities, head for Rome. From the glories of Vatican City, the Villa Borghese, and St. Peter’s, to the somewhat commercial charms of the Pasta Museum, you will find something in Rome to fill every minute of your day there.
Visit the oldest public art collections in the world at the Capitoline Museum. Climb the Spanish Steps for and on parallel view of the city, and on your descent stop in at the Keats-Shelley Memorial House, a tribute to two of the world’s greatest romantics and a fitting place to visit on your honeymoon in Italy!
And your days activities by relaxing Relax, as the Italians do, over a leisurely supper and one of Rome’s tucked-away eateries, which you can find in the older part of the city, the Trastevere. You will be treated to authentic, freshly-prepared Italian cuisine at remarkably affordable prices, and you will never look at take-out from an Italian restaurant back at home the same way again!
Your honeymoon in Italy, no matter where you decide to spend it, will be an exciting, romantic, and fun-filled experience and the perfect way to begin the marvelous years ahead!

There are a number of great destinations for a romantic honeymoons, some of which may not at first glance appear obvious. However, let us start with the popular and work from there through a list of ten.
1) Paris. Renowned throughout the world, Paris is the capital of love. With its beautiful buildings, great attractions and romantic restaurants and hotels, every newlywed will find himself or herself pampered in this wonderful city. Seal your future with a kiss at the top of the Eiffel Tower or the Arc d’Triumphe.
2) The Caribbean. Bright blue oceans, golden beaches and sunshine and a friendly population will welcome honeymooners. Feel the soft delicate sand between your toes as you take a midnight stroll; relax in your bedroom to the sound of the night and the gentle whirring fan, or share together the wonderful tropical fruits.
3) Rome. Rome is romance. A city steeped in history. Enjoy trips around the historic monuments, marvel at the relaxed and crazy lifestyle and driving, and enjoy being serenaded in a romantically lit restaurant at night. Walk through this buzzing town at night and you will have to smile into the eyes of your loved one.
4) Venice Every newlywed couple has to experience the closeness of a gondola ride, taking you around one of the most different cities of the world. Free of traffic, you can walk for hours through the paved squares, accompanied by pigeons and the bird of love, the doves.
5) Vienna Dance the night away at the Vienna opera and let him whisk you off your feet to the accompaniment of the music from the pen of some of the world’s most famous composers. Take a stroll along the embankment of the Danube and dine on a wonderful river restaurant. Vienna is a city of smiles and emotion.
6) London London is possibly the most cosmopolitan city in the world. Mingle with the multi-lingual travellers, wonder at the sites and sound that surround the place where the mother of parliament was born. Spend an evening in theatre land after shopping in the world famous “Harrods” store, before retiring to a night of sheer luxury at the famous Savoy hotel.
7) Barcelona Spain’s second city is a maze of beautiful building and one of the friendliest people in the world. A horse dawn ride through the town will start your holiday off in a relaxed style. You have to visit the multinational restaurants and bars and dine on the tradition dish of paella, cooked in a variety of different ways.
Charlottesville, North Carolina. I have placed this town here because of its buzzing shopping centre, but most of all because it contains one of the most romantic restaurants that I have been too. The restaurant is French and, if you are a couple in love, they give you your own private room for two, with one waiter allotted to you for the whole evening. I fell in love twice in this restaurant. Once with the lady who was accompanying me and the second time with the radiant beauty of that same lady set against this romantic setting.
9) Dublin There is nowhere in the world that you will get a warmer welcome than from the Irish. They are a unique people who make it their life’s mission to make people welcome and draw them into a wonderful community. Ask an Irish person for help and you will be whisked away by them to find what you need. Of course, the whole journey will be conducted to the words of an Irish story. If they find that you are honeymooning, the ensuing celebrations will last for days. It is a good idea to get a night’s sleep before you tell them, because the Irish do not understand the concept of “last orders.”
10) Lake Geneva The hotel on the shores of lake Geneva are idyllically set, with bedrooms overlooking the lake where you can rest in a calmness and enjoy your romance. Spend one day and take a train up to the top of a mountain, where stunning views will confirm your feelings of being on top of the world. Return to the lake by cable car and join a pleasure boat to complete the triangular voyage back to the hotel. First Honeymoon – Things You Should NOT Do on Your Honeymoon

Wedding is a joint effort with your family and relatives. But, honeymoon is the foremost decision that you make as a couple. It is an ideal time for entertainment, romance and fun. While you are on your honeymoon with your spouse, there are certain things which you should avoid. These petty issues can create big problems in your married life. In this article, I have mentioned a few tips that you need to consider before setting out on a honeymoon.
Rule 1: Do not Plan a Schedule
Try to be spontaneous. Do not plan out each and every minute of your trip. This causes lack of fun and excitement. This is your first after-marriage vacation so simply enjoy it! You may sleep until the noon and dance throughout the night! Try something different. However, set a flexible schedule for the everyday plans.
Rule 2: Wild lovemaking
Indulge yourself in a wild lovemaking session! You may go for a soothing body massage or a sea side sunbath. Just sit back on the golden beaches and sip some chilled bear. Look into each other’s eyes and forget about the world around you.
Rule 3: Do not go for a Honeymoon Package
If you choose a honeymoon package featured by the travel companies, you will have to plan your schedule according to their curriculum. You must personalize your honeymoon. Make it a fun-filled private affair.
Rule 4: Avoid your Relatives and Buddies
Do not publicize your honeymoon by staying with your friends or relatives. You will be obliged to involve them in your plans. Thus, you will never get some private moments for yourself. Even if you are visiting the same place after a long period of time, do not care to do this. Your honeymoon is all about you and your soulmate. Make it special.
Rule 5: Stop being a meddlesome kid
Never complain about your spouses’ relatives and family members. It will irritate your partner. Your honeymoon might end up in a messy state of affairs.
Rule 6: Avoid your Drinks
Do not get over drunk. If you lose your control and misbehave with your spouse, it will cause some serious troubles for your blossoming love life. Be as decent as possible. This way, you will get a better opportunity to know your partner and your soulmate will be pleased to discover your gentle nature.
In short, make your honeymoon a memorable experience. Try doing different things for your partner. It will beautify your relationships!
