Honeymoon Destinations: Start Your New Life Together in Style
The tradition of the honeymoon has to be one of humanity’s brightest ideas. This has never been more the case than it is today.
Weddings in modern times have become bigger, more expensive, and require more planning than they ever have before. They take months and months of preparation to just iron out all the details.
Historically, couples used to leave for their honeymoons either midway through the reception or even right after the ceremony. But today there is so much planning that goes into everything it would seem like a waste not to stick around to visit with everyone and enjoy the whole day.
That is why planning the perfect honeymoon is more important now than it ever was before. Even trying to fit in visiting with everyone at the reception can be stressful, but on the honeymoon it is all about just relaxing and having fun with your new spouse. Here are a few examples of great places to kick off your exciting new life together.
Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino
The Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas has recently become the go-to spot to have a great time when you are visiting the city. They offer packages that include airfare, three nights, and even a 24-hour buffet pass for two.
The highlight of the hotel has to be its luxurious swimming area. It is located on the sixth floor and overlooks the famous Las Vegas Strip. There are two pools and two spas. Between these pools lies a delightful bar and grille that sits next to a patch of grass covered in pool chairs for guests to relax on.
Las Vegas may have the reputation as a party town, but if you stay at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino you don’t even have to leave the hotel to have a fun and fantastic honeymoon.

After Paris, Montreal is actually the second largest city in the world where the residents primarily speak French. Montreal is a city of many exciting neighborhoods just waiting to be discovered. Stroll through Chinatown or shop around Bonsecours Market in historic Old Montreal.
Montreal is also considered a cultural haven. There is a wide array of jazz and rock acts regularly performing around the city. It is also home to world-renowned festivals of film, comedy, and even fireworks! Montreal is a great city for couples to explore the fire in both their hearts and their minds.
Plaza Hotel Lucchesi in Florence
But if you are willing to make that journey oversees, it is hard to get more romantic than a stay at the Plaza Hotel Lucchesi in Florence, Italy. Located in the wine-rich Tuscany region, love seems to permeate the air in Florence.
The city is considered the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and is home to a stunning array of piazzas, gardens, museums, art galleries, and historic churches. Just wandering through the city streets is an exercise in unabashed romanticism. The city of Florence will help to stoke the fire of your new love so that it will keep burning for years to come.
Always remember that while a honeymoon romance is a great way to kick off a marriage, your life together won’t always be so smooth. There will be tough times ahead when the headaches of your daily life seem to get to be too much. At these points it will be patience and friendship that make your marriage last. And remember, there is always the opportunity to go on a second honeymoon!

Top Honeymoon Destination at Soufriere on St Lucia

Sometimes you need to look away from the big resorts on St Lucia for your honeymoon destination, so check out La Haut Plantation
A top honeymoon destination on St Lucia is a hard one to call because there is a lot of competition especially in the Soufriere area with the romantic Pitons. It is well worth checking out La Haut Plantation which gets rave reviews from guests, and has a great deal going for it, not the least of which are the stunning views.
It has a reputation as a great place, with outstanding staff who look after you really well. They are the kind of people who don’t ever seem to be troubled by requests and can never do too much for you.
Incredibly it manages to accomplish with some flair being a really top honeymoon destination, with being a very nice family vacation resort. Saying that resort isn’t probably the right description, for a hotel that is in the middle of a working plantation perched on a hillside, so the description could be better as an ideal family holiday hotel.
Whatever you choose to call it, the fact that it is half way up a mountain means the setting is quite stunning, well away from tourists, hustle and bustle, and yet within easy reach of the town of Soufriere, the Pitons, beaches, and other things to do and see. You will however require a hire car for your holiday due to the isolated nature of the property although there are other options worth thinking about if you don’t intend to explore.
The first is the shuttle that runs to Anse Chastanet every day at 10am coming back up to La Haut Plantation at 4pm. The hotel has two pools but if this is a family holiday, children will want to go to the beach. Anse Chastanet is a great beach, and well worth bringing your own snorkelling stuff. You’ll want to supply your own lunch because the beachside restaurants are expensive. There are good grocery shops in Soufriere so the best suggestion is to buy food for lunch if you don’t want extra expense. It is also great to mingle with the local people an opportunity denied to most people on a package holiday.
You don’t want to be walking anywhere outside the hotel, apart from Soufriere. Being up a steep hill, it’s no fun at all.
You can get a taxi through La Haut Plantation, he seems to be their tame personal taxi. If you want to go exploring, and you don’t want to hire a car, then you’ll find him great fun, and not difficult to come to a price if you want him for a full day.
La Haut Plantation is a lovely place altogether. If you are looking for peace and quiet so you can just relax, then it is perfect. It is an unrecognised but nevertheless top honeymoon destination for this reason. You will also see families here, although in terms of it being a family holiday hotel, it would really be for families with smaller children, because teenagers could well get bored in such a small place. Its position is really unsurpassed, and worth it for the views alone, never mind the excellent rooms, service, and food.
