How to Have the Perfect Beach Honeymoon

When most people envision their honeymoon, they imagine lazy days spent on a gorgeous beach next to the water alongside nights full of glamour and romance. That’s why most people choose luxury honeymoons on and around some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. Here are a few tips to maximise the romantic, summery potential of this popular honeymoon choice.
1. Choose the right destination. There are a few factors involved when choosing the perfect location for your beach honeymoon. First of all, because it is so popular, it’s important to choose a place that won’t be ridiculously crowded. There is no romance in lounging on the beach together when your beach chair is right up against that of a half-naked, sweaty stranger, even an attractive one. Either head to your destination of choice before the crowds do or spring for a resort that boasts private, more exclusive stretches of sand.
Secondly, choose a destination with reliable weather. Some places can guarantee hot and steamy weather, but usually that also means it could rain or even thunderstorm throughout your honeymoon. It might be a wiser choice to choose a destination that is slightly cooler but less humid and less likely to result in running indoors away from storm clouds. Choosing the perfect place for these reasons will depend on when you’ve scheduled your wedding; it’s well worth investigating beforehand.
2. Pack appropriately. Bring multiple swimsuits – buy an extra if you don’t have one – to prevent wearing the same damp and clammy suit two days in a row and in case of accidental stains or rips. Make sure you both have suitable cover-ups and even jackets in case the weather goes cold. And don’t forget the sunscreen; nothing dims passion like red, peeling skin that you can’t bear your significant other touching.
3. Practice your fun before you get out there. If you have a centre nearby or are closer to less pristine shores, it is an excellent idea to get certified for scuba diving before you head to your exotic location of bliss. Many popular beach destinations like the Maldives and Mauritius have extraordinary ecosystems under their turquoise blue shores. If you’re not certified, you may never have the opportunity to head underwater in such a gorgeous place again. Diving together with your loved one is a fantastic experience that can truly build your newly created marital bond.
4. Take that sunset walk along the beach you’ve always seen on TV and in movies. It’s surprisingly romantic; there is usually a reason that certain clichés are overdone in mass media! You might consider heading out at sunrise as well for a magical moment together as the sun rises both on the day and on your marriage. It’s also amazing to have dinner on the beach by candlelight; many resorts will offer this as an option designed especially for honeymooning couples. In fact, I recommend taking a picnic out as well – eating outside when the weather is gorgeous and you have all day is well worth the extra effort.
5. Luxuriate in your honeymoon. These may be the most romantic and most relaxing two weeks of your entire life – note the significance and don’t let any minor issues get in the way of your happiness.

One of the most challenging decisions newlyweds have to make is where to spend their honeymoon – probably one of the most significant vacations a couple will take. Romantic tropical islands, glitzy resorts, taking a cruise or staying in luxury hotels all require a significant expenditure. Finding the best romantic secluded honeymoons can be challenging and if you are on a budget, locating the best honeymoon destinations for less will take some time and consideration. Here are a few tips and ideas that might help.
You have to understand the fact that the destination needn’t be located halfway around the world in order to be romantic. You should understand that the romance will all depend on you and your spouse. Even the most luxurious and exotic honeymoon destinations can’t be romantic if you and your spouse don’t like the location or are not enjoying yourselves. So, in order to keep costs down for your honeymoon, you should try and devise a strategy to cut costs.
Of course, you still desire to go on a honeymoon in a romantic setting. Try to imagine the best romantic secluded honeymoons located not too far from where you live. This can cut the cost and will be as romantic as any honeymoon. If you live in California and you had your wedding there, you can consider Hawaii as your honeymoon location rather than go to the Caribbean, which is considerably farther away and will be much more expensive.
When you need to fly to get to your destination, you should consider getting an economy seat on the flight. Besides, when you reach your destination, you can relax all you want and with the economy seat in the plane instead of the first class seat, can definitely save hundreds of dollars on your plane tickets. The best honeymoon destinations for less are now closer than ever!
When booking your accommodation, try to book it on the Internet. There are discounts for online booking and you can also have a wider range of lodging options. This means that you can have luxury accommodations at economy rates.
If you want to experience the perfect honeymoon, you can try considering a cruise. There are cruise liners existing today that offer great packages for honeymoon vacationers. Some even offer two cruise tickets for the price of one ticket for honeymoon vacationers. With cruise ships, everything is included, such as luxurious honeymoon lodging, food, and even great romantic activities that you and your new spouse can do. All-inclusive vacations also require less planning.
Cruise liners also offer outstanding quality first class accommodations that the two of you will absolutely enjoy. The foods are also considered to be excellent on cruise liners and the daytime and nighttime entertainment are endless. Activities such as scuba diving, kayaking, and even guided tours at port-of-calls are available on cruises. Nighttime activities will include great shows, and parties.
As you can see, honeymoon vacations don’t need to be expensive. All you need to do is shop around for the best locations offering great package deals. You can be sure that you can spend your honeymoon vacation at a cheaper cost without sacrificing the same romantic experience that you always wanted.
These are the things you should remember when you are planning for your trip. The best romantic secluded honeymoons are often closer than you think. And the best destinations for less may take a little more planning, but promise to be just as wonderful as a more expensive option. Always remember that there are a myriad of ways to have a romantic experience. All you need to do is look, and you and the one you love will be guaranteed to have a perfect, beautiful, honeymoon at the perfect, beautiful honeymoon destination.

Surf’s Always Up On Lanzarote

The Beach Boys sang about waxing down their surfboards and waiting for June, well there’s no need to wait for June on Lanzarote as the surfing season continues all year round. Even though the main surf beaches may be relatively free of crowds at the moment, there are still a few committed surfers who go out every day. However, plenty of surf fans will be planning their surf holidays for next summer and booking their flights to this popular island in the Atlantic.
Several of the surf schools on the island have been in business for over 10 years now and have well established bases, coaching surfers from all over Europe throughout the year. Famara is the best known spot on Lanzarote for surfing, for various reasons. It’s location is key, being in the perfect spot to receive those ideal Atlantic swells that roll in continuously, sometimes quite aggressively, sometimes more gently for beginners. Famara also has great sand, to keep the spectators happy and, being quite remote from the typical tourist beaches, there’s no problem with sun seekers getting in the way. An added benefit is the area’s beauty, with no lack of wonderful scenery to provide a perfect backdrop to a day’s surfing the waves.
Only rarely will surfers experience the huge waves that non-surfers conjure up in their minds when they think about the typical Hawaiian surfers shown in advertisements and film scenes, but for most of the surfers that visit Lanzarote, such big rollers would only mean most people having to sit out the day on the beach, watching just a handful of professional?level superstars getting their kicks. No, for majority of people the temperate waves of Lanzarote’s surf beaches are plenty big enough. In addition to the favoured beach at Famara, the tiny island of La Graciosa, which lies off the north west coast of Lanzarote, provides an alternative surf spot just south of the beach at Playa de las Conchas. South of Famara is another area around the La Santa Sports Club, with a choice of 4 locations, but only recommended for more experienced surfers due to the speed of the waves and the rocky sea bed.
Some final choices on the southern end of Lanzarote’s western coast are El Golfo and Janubio beach, both suitable for surfers of intermediate ability. Lanzarote has also gained a great reputation as one of the best competition locations in Europe and regularly hosts the European legs of the world’s top international surfing competitions. In early November 2009 the Santa Pro surf competition was held at Famara beach, although organisers were forced to shift beaches south to la Santa for a couple of days due to the conditions. Almost one hundred competitors competed for the prizes and huge twelve foot waves provided exciting conditions. Australian professional Drew Courtney defeated Brazilian Bernardo Miranda in the final.
Earlier in the year, during July, Spain held its national kitesurfing championships in Lanzarote at Playa de Famara, when 84 competitors visited the island to compete for the national titles. Top level windsurfing also came to Lanzarote during July when the PWA championship event was held at the Playa Las Cucharas in Costa Teguise. In 2010, there will be more professional surfing in the Canary Islands when the ASP Junior Surf Tour comes to Realejos in Tenerife during September.
For those new to surfing, who are not sure where to start, then the easier version of wave boarding or “boogie” boarding is the perfect option, even for young children and Lanzarote’s beaches are the perfect place to. With some cheap equipment and a little instruction, complete beginners can be out in the waves having fun within a few minutes. You just need a board and some optional flippers and you’ll be away. Unlike the UK, you won’t even need a wetsuit during the summer months. Its probably best to start with a session or two at one of the many surf schools, if only to learn about beach etiquette (how to avoid upsetting everyone else out there) and to understand the safety aspects of rip tides and danger areas. Apart from than that it’s a great surf sport for young and old.
Consider taking a cheap flight to Lanzarote and catching some waves while the rest of Europe battles the winter chills. This report highlights why many people now consider Lanazarote one of the best surf locations in Europe. Honeymoon Planning

Just like planning a written report or news article, you have to know the who, what, when, where and how in regards to your honeymoon planning. The who and what portions of the planning are no-brainers as the who refers to you and your intended while the what refers to the honeymoon. So do you have any ideas as to the when, where and how in referring to your honeymoon planning?
Typically, most honeymoons occur within a few days of the wedding ceremony although that is not always the case. Some people will plan the wedding based on school or work schedules and plan a honeymoon trip later when both parties can get a large chunk of time off for vacation. Others will decide where they want to go first and then decide on the when in regards to honeymoon planning. If you and your intended have your hearts set on a skiing vacation, then the obvious when in regards to honeymoon planning will be sometimes in the winter months. However, in seeking a tropical destination, the when could occur at any time of year.
Knowing where you are going is crucial to the where part of honeymoon planning. For strict budgets, you will likely stick close to home with the idea of going all out in a few years on a more extravagant vacation. Looser purse strings might see you venturing abroad to foreign countries either by cruise ship or by plane. The where in honeymoon planning is also influenced by what you and your intended’s likes and dislikes are in terms of weather and available activities. Tropical settings offer up the most opportunities for newlyweds and they are also romantic as well.
Unfortunately, the buck sometimes stops right where you don’t want it to – your dream destination for your honeymoon. Unless you want to be in debt for a few years while you pay off your dream honeymoon, it pays to be more sensible in your honeymoon planning. There is no reason not to choose a destination based on what your budget will allow and still plan that dream destination vacation for a later date. For some couples, a cruise makes economical sense in terms of the how of honeymoon planning. Your food, drink, activities and accommodations are not only under one roof but also part of one price. Plus, with this type of honeymoon, you can still see new places each time the ship makes port during your cruise. Let your budget dictate what you can and cannot afford in terms of your honeymoon destination. Honeymoon planning doesn’t have to be rocket science, just plain old common sense with a hint of dreams and romance thrown in.

A great way for a couple to have some time alone and celebrate their marriage is to rent a honeymoon cabin. Cabins are nice for a honeymoon because they usually offer seclusion in a scenic area where the couple can relax and enjoy each other after the hectic pre-ceremony days. Cabins are also nice because they have all the amenities including kitchens so the couple can hideaway from the world for the full length of the honeymoon stay. For the couple who likes privacy and isolation a honeymoon cabin will be a great choice. There are many honeymoon cabins available for rent and the internet provides a good place to find the best cabin in a choice location.
The Smoky Mountains are beautiful and scenic. Planning a honeymoon to these mountains will be very memorable for the couple. These cabins come in a variety of sizes and offer different options with each cabin. Some of the cabins have heart shaped hot tubs and beds to increase the romance. These cabins are located near ski areas and such vacation attractions as Dollywood and Pigeon Forge. For a honeymoon in the Smoky Mountains this site may provide a good option for a cabin rental.
People who want to honeymoon in the mountains of the west coast will enjoy a visit to the resort location in Big Bear, California. There are a large number of cabins available in this area. Many of the cabins are privately owned but are available for rent. Some cabins on this site are in the woods and very secluded while others are located nearer to the town and Big Bear Lake. The cabins can be somewhat rustic or come with full amenities. The couple looking for a honeymoon cabin in the Big Bear area will be able to find what to fit their needs and desires. The Yellowstone area of Montana and Wyoming is a spectacular place for anyone to visit and sure to be a great honeymoon location. The Yellowstone National Park has several lodging facilities that are very nice but, for a more private location, a couple will want to look outside the park. Cabins can come with mountain bikes for the summer or snow mobiles for the winter. The honeymoon couple can stay in a secluded area and still have plenty to do.
