Ixtapa is a natural paradise, and for this reason it was distinctively chosen by the Mexican government to become a hot spot tourist heaven; and on a minor scale, It was also chosen by Patawalk (http://wwwpatwalk.com) as a virtual tour destination. Aside from all the entertainment in the beaches, the city of Ixtapa offers other options.  For instance, if you’d like to take a break from the beach but still want to have aquatic fun, then you must go to Magic World.  This is an aquatic recreation park, something like an aquatic theme park.  You’ll find a pool with waves (which mimics the ocean), water slides for all ages and levels of expertise, and even a pirate ship.  Ever heard of swimming with the fishes?  Well, at Delfinti you can.  Here you are offered the opportunity of a lifetime, to swim with the Dolphins and you can even have your young child do so too.  Enjoy a little of the wilderness by going to Parque Aventura (Adventure Park) where you can walk through trees on a hanging bridge or a zip-line.  These are things you can only see in the movies, so why not experience it in real life?

But not all activities are reserved for the day.  Ixtapa proudly boasts of an active and fun-filled nightlife too.  The night is always young in Ixtapa and you can find it all in the boulevard and surrounding areas.  Let me recommend Christine Club Ixtapa, which offers a wealth of music and is the perfect combination of all kinds of vibrant music; so dress to impress.  Something more informal and perfect for you no matter your age is the classic Senor Frogs.

Finding A Resort In Antigua

If you ask people where their dream holiday would be, what is the most frequent response that you think you will get? Well everybody I seem to ask give me the same rough answer, being the Caribbean. As soon as they say this I completely agree with them even if they have never been and have just seen pictures. I was exactly like this before I went on a holiday there and now I have I must say, I completely agree still and cant wait to go back.

But I would have to say that the resort in Antigua where I stayed was by far the best I have ever seen and would not hesitate going back there at all. In fact I am thinking about booking my next holiday there already because I loved it so much.

I went to quite a small resort in Antigua but the scenery and looks and well just about everything was absolutely perfect! I couldn’t have asked much more from a resort in Antigua. I do not even want to go and look at other islands in the Caribbean region at the moment I want to explore Antigua and let me tell you why.

Antigua has 365 beaches around the island even though it is only 14 miles long and 11 miles wide, so there is constantly somewhere to go exploring. You can definitely see nowhere near everything you will ant to in just one week so you may want to take a bit longer out there. Even if you stay out there longer and do nearly everything you can you are still going to want to stay in a resort in Antigua for even longer. When I went I really did not want to leave at all.

The weather is very, very nice all year round so you will be able to relax in a resort in Antigua in the warm sun with nice warm breezes and steady winds all year round. Around the island is nearly unbroken coral reef which is absolutely amazing for snorkelling and diving which you will want to do time and time again as it gets better every time if that is even possible.

One of the days you are in your resort in Antigua you may want to get a rental car so that you are able to travel around and explore the amazing island on your own and find places that many tourists do not go to. If you want to do this it is not very expensive and is the best way to get about the island. All you need to be able to do this is either an international drivers license or a license from the country you reside from. As well you are going to need a permit to drive in Antigua which most of the rental companies can help you get and only costs around $20. The best bit if you are British is that in Antigua they drive on the left side of te road so it is just like home.

To obtain a deeper insight into Crimean flora you must go to the Nikitsky Botanical Garden. The Nikita (small village where the garden is situated) is only 16 km from Yalta. To get the Garden in Nikita (from Simferopol) you can by marshrutka (mini bus) which goes from Simferopol railway station to Yalta, or by trolleybus ( the departure from railway station in Simferopol ), it will take much more longer, the trolleybuses are very slow. You should also remember that the entrance to the Nikitsky Botanical Garden not right at the bus stop, it will take about 20 minutes to reach it. The way back will take even more, when you finish your visit to Nikitsky Botanical Garden, you’ll be almost at the seashore of Black sea. The square of Nikitsky Botanical Garden is 40 hectares. The Garden consists of four separate parks: the Upper Park, the Lower, the Maritime Park and the park on Cape Montedor.

The story of its foundation is linked with the cultivation of the Crimean lands after the Crimea was joined to Russia in 1783. Attracted by such favorable natural conditions, the Russian aristocracy came here to build palaces and summer residences, surrounding them with parks and gardens. This land was privately owned and frequently changed hands. The Nikitsky Botanical Garden was called upon to fill the gap. It was founded in the September of 1812 as the imperial botanical garden. For this purpose the site was chosen near Nikita, a village founded by Greek settlers 4 centuries before. Ch. Stevens, the most knowledgeable botanist in Russia and an expert in horticulture, was appointed Director of the Garden.

The Nikitsky Botanical Garden’s plant collections number more than 28,000 species, varieties and hybrids.  Numerous visitors to the Garden show special interest in the great variety of subtropical trees.  Unlike other arboretums in our country where the laying out follows the botanical principle, the Nikitsky arboretum features decorative planning. The incomparable collections of exotic plants are arranged according to a single artistic design which presents a superb example of park landscaping.

These are the most interesting plants – Chinese fan palms, slender pyramidal cypresses, two towering 90-year-old giant sequoias, columnar English yews flank, Atlas cedars, stone pines, tree species cultivated in the Nikitsky Botanical Garden from the early 19th century, majestic redwood, the weeping glaucous Atlas cedar, a truly natural wonder whose boughs drop to the very ground. Of special interest are the trees still living today which are descended from plants of the Carboniferous Period, namely the ginkgo, metasequoia, the large-fruited and small-fruited strawberry tree, Montezuma pine.

These islands also offer a great deal of more conventional honeymooning activities.  Thanks to the barrier reef, the islands are surrounded by calm turquoise waters which are vividly different than the deeper ocean blue.  They are perfect for swimming and the more adventurous can snorkel among the tropical fish and coral formations.   The beaches on all of the islands are beautiful and varied, with some gorgeous lagoons and bays perfect for a day’s lounging.  The most peaceful islands are often smaller inlets, where you can truly enjoy the island lifestyle.  You’ll feel as though you’re in an adventure novel but with all the comforts of a modern resort.  Some tour providers will even arrange for you to swim with manta rays and smaller sharks in the lagoons, surely an unforgettable experience.

Many of the islands also have mountains perfect for the more adventurous couple to attempt a climb.  You can set out on a hike or join a safari to hit all the perfect spots for stunning scenery.  One of the islands, Nuku Hiva, is home to the highest waterfall in the South Pacific, also the third highest waterfall in the world.  This is all completely available for hiking and backpacking, so you are free to explore as you wish.

How To Have Two Honeymoons In One

Travelling from the UK to any exotic destination for your honeymoon often means a lengthy flight.  None of us really want to sacrifice our romantic island getaway just because the flight is too long, but it’s certainly a drawback.  Recently I discovered that it’s a popular practice to include day-long stopovers in between lengthy flights.  You can visit two places on your honeymoon instead of one and there is just no disadvantage to that.  If you’re flying from the UK to Asia or Australia, you may find yourself heading over the United States.  Many of the airports at which you’ll change planes are in fantastic cities, so why not spend a day exploring rather than sitting in the airport waiting for the next flight?  Here are four great US cities where you’re most likely to have a layover – and most likely to enjoy yourself a little extra on your honeymoon.

New York City is famous the world over for its bustling lifestyle, fantastic culture, and media presence.  It also has a fascinating history and a fair number of landmarks; you can visit the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, or Times Square and there are many tours through the city.  You may also choose to have your travel company set up a day for you; for example, you might choose to view Manhattan from the decks of a restored 1929 sailboat in the spring and summer.  That sounds romantic enough for a honeymoon to me.

If you’ve ever wanted to visit the Grand Canyon, a stopover in Las Vegas is in the perfect location.  At the airport, you can transfer onto a helicopter and land at this famous landmark in style, enjoying a romantic champagne picnic while there.  Vegas has numerous other charms and is a great place for a break from lengthy travel, especially if you have money to burn in the city’s well-known (and often filmed) casinos.

Avid film buffs may insist on stopping over in Los Angeles, the portal to all things Hollywood.  You can find your favourite performer’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame or see the famous sign for yourself.  Or perhaps you’d like to have a meal in one of LA’s culinary hotspots.  You never know when you might run into one of your favourite celebrities and what a honeymoon memory that would make.  If the bustle of the city isn’t really for you, you might prefer a helicopter ride over Hollywood, seeing all the landmarks from above without the hassle of other tourists.

San Francisco is another exciting stopover destination in California and a regular honeymoon destination for many couples.  My parents chose it, in fact.  Undoubtedly you’ll have seen the Golden Gate Bridge in films and on TV without even realizing what it was!  The city has a varied liberal culture, with plenty of museums and landmarks for a speedy day out.  If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even explore the nearby Alcatraz prison and see the cells where famous criminals like Al Capone were held.  All of San Francisco’s scenery is best displayed in a seaplane flight, generally offered by travel agencies.

All in all, choosing a stopover destination can take the pain out of a lengthy set of flights and can give you a fantastic start – or end – to your honeymoon.
